Eyeliner 101
Posted on September 19, 2014 in Uncategorized

As we are getting closer and closer to actual fall days I start to think more and more about eyeliner. A great winged line is a staple for the fall time however it’s still a mystery to some women. I will be sharing the best of the best gel, pencil and liquid eyeliner along with a step by step on how to achieve the perfect wing. So welcome to eyeliner 101!

If your prefer pencil try Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide on eye pencil, this high pigmented long-lasting liner provides wear and is super smooth. Also try NARS Larger Than Life, Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes or the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Liner.

If you prefer liquid eye liner try Stila’s Stay All Day liquid liner, with an easy application this waterproof liner will stay on day and night. And if you really love liquid liner you should also try Lancome’s Art Liner or Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner.

Lastly, if you prefer a little gel liner and a small brush I recommend trying Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear Gel liner. The gel glides on easy making you look like an award-winning pro, just like it is! I also recommend checking out Marc Jacobs gel based eyeliner pen, although it is a liquid liner it’s inspired by the classic calligraphy pen, great for drawing the finest lines and achieving perfect definition.

Achieving the perfect wing is all in all not that complicated, I will break it down into 3 easy steps to make sure your liner is looking super fabulous. Starting with your favorite liner, line the upper lid from the middle to the outside of the eye and then from the middle to the inside. *TIP* Don’t ever try to draw on eyeliner in one stroke, the perfect line comes from many tiny little strokes or even “dots” connected together. Now from the outer corner of the eye aiming up towards the end of your eyebrow draw on your wing! Lastly connect and fill in the tiny wing line to the rest of your liner. Voila! You now have the perfect smudge/budge/ or waterproof cat eye to rock for the fall time!
